Follow-up experiments by the authors corroborated their results on male Sprague–Dawley rats, by demonstrating that a 2 g/kg of body weight (BW) orally administered (p.o.)dose of the sweet potato extract stimulated GLP1 secretion after an intraperitoneal (i.p.)glucose load (2 g/kg·BW), and mitigated the subsequent hyperglycemia. Here, GLP1R is linked to Hyperglycemia.
