The aims of this study were to: (1) determine the expression of pEGFR and its phosphorylated signal transducers, pERK, pAkt, and phosphorylated STAT3 (pSTAT3) in primary tumour tissue samples from a cohort of patients with STS; and (2) correlate the expression of these protein markers with patients’ clinicopathological parameters and outcome. Here, STAT3 is linked to telomere syndrome.
