Interestingly, ZEB1 has been identified as a potent transcriptional repressor of IL‐15 and hypermethylation of its binding region in the IL‐15 promoter prevents suppression of IL‐15 production in CTCL and thus progression (Mishra et al., 2016). The gene discussed is IL15; the disease is primary cutaneous T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
