In contrast, some siRNAs, such as those targeting solute carrier family 2 member 3 (SLC2A3), interferon gamma receptor 2 (IFNGR2), PDE1B, ARID1B, and EIF3A, reduced or increased bacterial load significantly at 1 day p.i. but not significantly at day 2, suggesting that these proteins are more important for the bacterial internalization or early stage of infection.
