Several other downregulated genes important for muscle development include BIN1/M-Amphiphysin2 (BIN1), which is frequently mutated in centronuclear myopathies [49], and muscle-restricted coiled-coil (MURC) playing the pivotal role in skeletal myogenic differentiation [50] (Fig. 4b–d). The gene discussed is BIN1; the disease is autosomal dominant centronuclear myopathy.
