While our findings may only be applicable to T‐cell lymphoma, it is intriguing to speculate that because p53 loss‐of‐function mutations are associated with approximately 80% of all cancers, these findings may be applicable to other types of cancer where the AMPK β1 subunit predominates, such as the liver, lung, gastrointestinal tract, or ovaries.
