However, there is opposing evidence as to the role of TET1 in EMT‐induced chemoresistance: TET1 has been reported to promote cisplatin resistance through its induction of EMT in ovarian cancer (Han et al., 2017), but act as a barrier against EMT in mammary epithelial cells by derepressing the miR‐200 promoter (Song et al., 2013).
