FSHB and endometriosis: The association signal includes an LD region beginning upstream of FSHB and extending across to ARL14EP. The strongest signal was for SNP rs74485684 (risk allele T, RAF=0.84, OR=1.11) located 10,276 bp upstream of the transcription start site of FSHB. Nominal evidence for association between endometriosis and SNPs upstream of FSHB was recently reported in independent samples from the UK Biobank providing strong support for this result45.
