EXOC7 and hepatocellular carcinoma: After cell differentiation, the localization of Exo70 is moved from the peripheral area of nucleus to the growth cone of the neurite outgrowth [19]; in human hepatoma HepG2 cells, Exo70 is located near the microtubule organizing center [1]; in dog kidney epithelial cells MDCK, Exo70 is positioned at the cell plasma membrane region [11]; in HeLa cells, Exo70 can shuttle between cytoplasm and nucleus, and participates in nuclear mRNA splicing [10].
