Costa et al. (2009) has demonstrated that cyst nematode acetylcholinesterase gene (AChE) is expressed in chemo-and mechanosensory neurons of C. elegans, which further supports this hypothesis. Similarly, Wang et al. (2011) reported indirect evidence to support the mechanism by which such peptide disrupts chemosensory function in cyst nematodes. The gene discussed is ACHE; the disease is cyst.
