A survival analysis of HMGA2 and E-cadherin expression demonstrated that patients with tumours with high levels of HMGA2 and low levels of E-cadherin have a shorter survival time compared with patients with low HMGA2 expressing and high E-cadherin expressing tumours (Fig. 5D); meanwhile, GC patients with high levels of HMGA2 and vimentin expression have a poor prognosis (Fig. 5E).
