RB1 and cervical carcinoma: As we shown, knockdown of CKAP2 significant decreases in cervical carcinoma cell proliferation and tumor growth in vivo, which in line with other report that knockdown of CKAP2 reduced pRB phosphorylation and increased p27 expression, and consequently reduced human foreskin fibroblasts proliferation, whereas constitutive CKAP2 expression enhanced proliferation7, suggesting a critical role of CKAP2 in cell proliferation.
