In our study, we evaluated the miRNA profiles of nutritional fibrosing steatohepatitis in mice that were fed a methionine–choline-deficient (MCD) diet.20, 21, 22 We found that miR-130a-3p inhibited TGF-β/SMAD signaling by directly targeting transforming growth factor-beta receptors (TGFBRs) 1 and 2, which might contribute to the pathogenesis of hepatic fibrosis and provide a potential novel drug target for the treatment of NAFLD. The gene discussed is TGFB1; the disease is Hepatic fibrosis.
