Knockdown of ASIC1 or using pharmacological inhibitor effectively abolishes the whole-cell patch-clamp current and inhibits tumor migration in glioma cells.23 Given that ASIC1 and ASIC3 are the most susceptible to acidic pHe and function as acidic pH sensors,19 we investigate whether ASIC1 and ASIC3 are expressed in pancreatic cancer and contribute to acidity-induced EMT of pancreatic cancer.
