It was shown that obesity-related inflammatory factors, namely FFA, GSH-Px, IHNB, IL-1, IGF-1, and ROS within seminal plasma, were discrepant in levels among groups with diverse levels of BMI, while no significant correlation was found between male BMI and sperm volume, concentration, amount, morphology, or motility [26,27]. Here, IGF1 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
