The univariate analysis showed that patient sex, mechanical ventilation in 24 hours, D-dimer levels, capillary refill time, prothrombin time (PT), the PaO2/FiO2 ratio, base excess, serum lactate, total bilirubin, serum total protein, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Cr), uric acid, myoglobin, PCT, BNP, and troponin levels showed significant associations with mortality caused by sepsis in the training group (Table 2).
