In April, rs7973260 in an intron of KSR2 (P=1.8 × 10−9) and rs62100776 in an intron of DCC (P=8.5 × 10−9) were associated with depressive symptoms.15 Meanwhile, in December, rs9825823 located in the intron of FHIT (P=8.2 × 10−9) was associated with a broad depression phenotype—including MDD and depressive symptoms.16 Most recently, MDD in adults aged over 27 years was associated with the intergenic SNP rs7647854 located on chromosome 3 (P=5.2 × 10−11).17 The gene discussed is KSR2; the disease is major depressive disorder.
