An Epigenome-Wide Association Study (EWAS) focused on obesity showed that hypermethylation of differential methylation positions (DMPs) in intron 1 of Hypoxia-inducible factor–3 alpha (HIF3A) and cg07814318 in intron 1 of Kruppel-like factor 13 (KLF13) are associated with high BMI from 479 individuals of European origin discovery cohort7. This evidence concerns the gene HIF3A and obesity disorder.
