As PI3/AKT/GSK axis being a prominent pathway inducing Nrf2 activation [33] and as Akt inhibitor, MK2206 has been shown effective in reducing Nrf2 accumulation in A549 lung carcinoma cells [34], we tested the effect of Nrf2 inhibition with MK2206 in AML cells.
