This result is in agreement with previous studies.8,30 Kutuk et al. considered Bcl-2 protein an important target drug in the treatment of atherosclerosis.16 The study by Fröhlich et al. indicated that Bcl-2 had a protective role in fully differentiated ReNcell VM cells.8 However, in the study by Peng et al., inhibition of the proliferation of PC3 human prostate cancer cells has been shown via negative regulation of Bcl-2 and positive regulation of p21.9 The gene discussed is BCL2; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
