DSIII(a) patients who are at higher relative risk for polyposis and whose sinus mucosal microbiome was enriched for Corynebacterium and predicted to encode PPAR-γ and RIG-I signaling pathways were the only group to exhibit a significant increase in IL-5 expression (Kruskal-Wallis; p < 0.05, q < 0.05; Fig 4d).
