FOXC1 and neoplasm: To investigate whether tumor size and FOXC1 expression were independent prognostic markers, we performed a multivariate analysis which showed that the patients in this study with larger tumors (HR 1.50, 95% CI 1.12–1.99, P = 0.006) and FOXC1 overexpression (HR 2.58, 95% CI 1.04–6.42, P = 0.041) had a higher risk of suffering from local recurrence and/or distant metastasis compared with patients with smaller tumors and/or no to low FOXC1 expression.
