We have shown that the inhibition of NF-κB with a potent inhibitor, parthenolide, not only diminished the symptoms of neuropathy but also potentiated morphine analgesia and reduced the levels of pro-inflammatory factors produced by microglia (IL-1β, IL-18, NOS2) (Popiolek-Barczyk et al., 2014b, 2015). This evidence concerns the gene NOS2 and neuropathy.
