Although a much larger number of genetic elements were among the most frequently deleted chromosomal loci, an additional 7 genes (FANK1, PRODH, SLC25A1, MIF, EP300, GRAMD4, and WNT7B) and 1 miR (hsa-mir-33a) with a known role in p53 pathway function were also commonly deleted in FL-HCC tumors. The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
