Quantitative-RT-PCR results indicated that, in the early 12 h after infection, HMGB1 transcription began to rise, which is similar to the test in vitro using IFN-γ treated ANA1 cells (Figure 1A), but then decreased gradually to below the basal level, and there were no upward trends again in the detecting period (Figure 1B). This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and infection.
