Several putative markers i.e., Musashi (Msi), CD44, CD133, leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein-coupled receptor 5 (LGR5) and aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 (ALDH1) have been used to identify tumor stem-like cells in CRCs [2–9]. The gene discussed is ALDH1A1; the disease is neoplasm.
