As expected, both WT and TRPV2-KO mice that underwent an acute MI 30 days earlier exhibited a higher BNP expression compared to sham-operated WT controls (27.9 ± 0.9 and 24.4 ± 1.7 in WT and KO animals with acute MI compared to 17.5 ± 1.0 in sham-operated controls; p< 0.05).
