In G4 cells infected with rNigeria/75/1_ΔV (MOI = 3), the induction of IFN-β by transfection with poly(I:C) (Fig 10A) or infection by SeV-DI (Fig 10B) was indeed blocked, indicating that the V protein of PPRV is not the sole viral protein actively blocking the activation of the IFN-β promoter. This evidence concerns the gene IFNB1 and infection.
