AF1q is considered an adverse prognostic factor in acute monocytic leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome [13,14]; AF1q binding to the transcription factor T-cell-factor-7 may result in activation of the wingless-type MMTV integration site family (Wnt) signaling pathway, thus promoting tumor dissemination [8], and AF1q up-regulation is reportedly correlated with distant metastasis in lung and breast cancers [15,16,17]. The gene discussed is MLLT11; the disease is acute monocytic leukemia.
