Our promising entity #3 showed noticeable neuroprotection against stroke-induced disruption in synaptic connectivity within the hippocampus, one of the affected brain regions (Fig. 4); the data is also supported by the significantly high level of neurabin 2 protein in hippocampus, a marker shown to be positively correlated with the enhanced synaptic connectivity in cortex17 (Fig. 4A–C). The gene discussed is PPP1R9B; the disease is stroke disorder.
