Because Romo1 is found to be related to poor survival in stage I-III CRC, and interestingly, Romo1-induced ROS production was reported to be associated with acquired resistance to 5FU[43], we suppose that Romo1 could be a biomarker that can detect high-risk patients with stage II CRC who need to be treated with adjuvant chemotherapy such as oxaliplatin plus 5FU/LV.
