Our findings that MMP3/TIMP1 and MMP7/TIMP1 ratios were significantly lower in BPH compared to nP and PCa (Figure 5A,B) is in line with the significant higher transcript expression levels in BPH (Figure 1B) and the higher protein expression in confocal analysis (Figure 4H,I). The gene discussed is TIMP1; the disease is benign prostatic hyperplasia.
