This subcutaneous mouse xenograft experiment demonstrated that all mice (n = 4/4 per group; 16 tumors) injected with control and PON1-modified cells had multiple bilateral subcutaneous tumors within 35-37 days of inoculation, whereas no mice that were injected with PBS only showed signs of any tumor growth (n = 4; 8 sites). This evidence concerns the gene PON1 and neoplasm.
