In conclusion, we found that in an HIV-HCV co-infected population, incorporating a genetic marker from IFNL rs8099917 and the immune markers IL-8, sICAM-1, RANTES, hs-CRP, and sCD14 allowed us to better predict the 3-year risk of significant liver fibrosis over traditional clinical risk factors alone. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and Hepatic fibrosis.
