We also found that WISP-3 promotes the production and secretion of the angiogenic factor VEGF-A through the inhibition of miR-452 via the c-Src and p38 pathways in human chondrosarcoma cells, subsequently inducing angiogenesis in human EPCs, suggesting that WISP-3 and miR-452 may be novel molecular targets for inhibiting VEGF-A-induced angiogenesis in chondrosarcoma. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and chondrosarcoma.
