To detect Pin1 proteins in detergent-resistant dendritic rafts and PSD, synaptosome fractions were effectively isolated from the frontal cortical tissues of human AD and normal control brains, and the synaptic markers PSD95 and Shank3 were enriched up to 9 and 8 times in synaptosome fractions, respectively (Figure 1(b)). This evidence concerns the gene PIN1 and Alzheimer disease.
