ANXA2 and coronary artery disorder: Using bioinformatics, genotype-phenotype analysis, and evidence from differential protein binding and allele-specific gene expression, we identified two candidate SNPs in the ANXA2 cis-regulatory region (rs17191344 and rs11633032) also associated with LDL-C and the risk of CHD, and showed that these SNPs affect ANX2A gene expression via alterations in transcription factors that bind to alleles of the SNPs.
