A study in pancreatic cancer patient tumors, of which 4/50 (8%) had a complete loss of TP53 expression, 20/50 (40%) showed regular expression, and 26/50 (52%) patients showed overexpression, showed a significant improvement in progression-free survival (p = 0.02) for patients with regular expression compared to complete loss [28]. Here, TP53 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
