To further establish the binding of ZNF148 to rs36115365 and surrounding genomic region, we performed chromatin-immunoprecipitation (ChIP) for ZNF148 followed by quantitative PCR, noting an enrichment of binding at rs36115365 in pancreatic and lung cancer cell lines homozygous and heterozygous for rs36115365-C as compared to background and the surrounding area (Fig. 5e, Supplementary Fig. 12a–f). Here, ZNF148 is linked to lung cancer.
