Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) of the NKI breast cancer patients data set29 demonstrated that gene signatures representing a good prognosis or less invasiveness of the tumour were significantly enriched in patients with higher levels of FAF1 expression (n=103) compared to those with lower expression of this gene (n=104), strongly suggesting that FAF1 correlates with a good prognosis (Fig. 4a). This evidence concerns the gene FAF1 and neoplasm.
