The results of our study demonstrated that FK866, an inhibitor of NAMPT enzymatic function, significantly ameliorated multiple indices of I/R-induced acute lung injury, including vascular barrier dysfunction, PAP, pulmonary neutrophil influx, BALF TNF-α, CINC-1, and IL-6 production, oxidative stress, apoptosis, and tissue damage compared with control animals. Here, TNF is linked to injury.
