Human B-ALL/LBL is nearly always positive for B-cell markers CD10, CD19, cytoplasmic CD79a, and CD22 with dim to absent CD45 expression, whereas T-ALL/LBL consistently express T-cell markers cytoplasmic CD3, CD5, and CD4 and CD8 [32,36]. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
