KDMs function as “partners” of oncogenes and are believed to have a central role in maintaining normal cell functions as well as in cancer cells biology and are considered potential targets in adult and pediatric glioblastoma [13–19] In particular, the overexpression of KDM5A was found in “Drug Tolerant Persister” cells (DTP), a subpopulation of tumor cells that give rise to expanded populations of drug resistant cells [20] including TMZ- resistant GB cells [12].
