Emerging evidence showed that PODXL, normally expressed on vascular endothelial cells, hemangioblasts, podocytes and so on [17], had been found to be overexpressed in several cancers, such as pancreatic cancer, hepatocellular, breast cancer, esophageal cancer and gastric cancer and behaved as a oncogene [18–20]. The gene discussed is PODXL; the disease is breast carcinoma.
