In addition, serum albumin change showed a strong inverse correlation between fasting glucose (standardized β = -0.164, p < 0.001) or HbA1c (standardized β = -0.116, p < 0.001) measured at prediabetes diagnosis, whereas baseline serum albumin was not associated with fasting glucose or HbA1c measured at prediabetes diagnosis.
