In fact, individual mean CRP levels during observation period were significantly higher in subjects with incident prediabetes than subjects without prediabetes (median 0.06, 25th–75th percentile 0.04–0.11 vs median 0.05, 25th–75th percentile 0.04–0.09, p < 0.001).
