SATB1 and neoplasm: Althought it is still controversial whether SATB1 could play a complex molecular role of tumor-promoting and possible inhibitory effects in carcinogenesis by affecting multiple pathways [15], it is necessary to obtain high level evidence-base results to determine the prognostic value of SATB1 in gastrointestinal malignancy patients and identify subgroup of patients that could potentially benefit from target therapy.
