Interestingly, while during the development of typhoid fever, the proliferation of CD38-positive MAIT cells was significantly higher in low-dose TD volunteers than in high-dose TD volunteers (Figures 4F,G; Figure S14B in Supplementary Material); no differences between the coexpression of Ki67 and either caspase or CD57+ were found between the high- and low-dose groups (Figures 5A,B; Figures S12B, S13B, and S14B in Supplementary Material). The gene discussed is MKI67; the disease is typhoid fever.
