Surprisingly, we found that 5 of them, including CCL3, CCL3L1, JUN, IL8, IL1B, were involved in the inflammation mediated by chemokine and cytokine signaling pathway (P00031), which was shared by HCIM and HCDM, indicating that these 5 DEGs had potential to distinguish the hepatic carcinoma with metastasis from the healthy samples, and among them, CCL3L1, JUN, IL1B, and IL8, which were not involved in HC, could be used to distinguish the hepatic carcinoma with metastasis from those without metastasis. The gene discussed is IL1B; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
