A plenty of studies showed that elevated FOXM1 expression in tumor tissue was correlated with poor survival of patients with various solid tumors such as angiosarcoma [8], breast cancer [9], cervical cancer [10], colorectal cancer [11–13], gastric cancer [14–16], hepatic cancer [17, 18], laryngeal squamous cell cancer [19], lung cancer [20–22], malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor [23], medulloblastoma [24], esophageal cancer [25], ovarian cancer [26, 27], pancreatic cancer [28, 29] and renal cell cancer [30]. This evidence concerns the gene FOXM1 and lung cancer.
