After adjusting for age, gender, diabetes, hypertension, CAD, CVA, albumin, and hemoglobin, only age (HR = 1.14, 95% CI: 1.11–1.17; p <0.001), history of CAD (HR = 1.93, 95% CI: 1.22–3.04; p = 0.005), serum albumin level at admission (HR = 0.44, 95% CI: 0.29–0.68; p<0.001), and AKI (HR = 1.63, 95% CI: 1.14–2.31; p = 0.007) were significant predictors of long-term, all-cause mortality.
