However, female (OR 3.13, 95% CI: 1.04–9.36, p = 0.042), albumin (OR 0.20, 95% CI: 0.51–0.77, p = 0.019) and AKI (OR 4.61, 95% CI: 1.69–12.63, p = 0.003) were significant predictors for in-hospital mortality after adjusting for age, sex, diabetes, hypertension, history of CAD or CVA and baseline blood levels of albumin, hemoglobin and creatinine.
